I don't know any neighbor who's ever seen one, and you know why? Everything hunts them.. Owls, wolves, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, lynx, mountain lions, badgers, bears, dogs...Probably turtles even..

You have a better chance of seeing an all-white family in a TV commercial than seeing a Ringtailed Cat
Yeah they seem pretty elusive, like Bobcats. I did also see skunks and raccoons this year in the front yard. We also saw a cool little Marmot in Staunton Park recently. Nice park if you haven't checked it out.

I gotta get more cams on my property, retired now so I can sit back and enjoy the mtns.

It's great....

I've seen only two bobcats..They have huge paws.. Big house cats with huge paws.. I'm surprised they aren't routinely domesticated- I'll look into that

I dunno but I heard Bobcats can be pretty aggressive. I remember an article about a golf course in the Northeast where they were scaring golfers away or some shit.

Anyway I love watching wildlife up here. And my bird feeders are highly popular and they seem to be feeding voraciously now, probably in fall stashing mode.

Well, they're obsolete now.... Cam technology has made leaps and bounds in the last 2 years...

I think trail cams are just a different application, the newer ones are fine tech I'm sure. Some have IR and night vision, 4k video and lots of memory. They are meant for remote areas out of Wi-fi range.

There are some very good you tuber sites for trail cams.

Lets not be divisive Anti-Trail Cam-ite bigots ok?

Sheesh!

I'm an Anti-Trial Camer, so sue me! My wife knew it when she married me...

And, the Ring cams have night vision, or else I'd never see the ring-tailed cat and bear- The cat has been back every night btw-
