So many fish this past week.
Stopped by Rocky Mountain Arsenal after dropping the wife at the airport. Bluegills and bass on a fly rod all day long. Those panfish can fight on a 5X tippet. What a blast!
Next day I took the dog to Jefferson Lake. Hiked around the whole lake and again caught fish almost every other cast. Pulled a few brookies out of some beaver ponds on the way home.
Next day was a quick trip to Summit lake where the cutthroat are still happening. Such pretty fish.
The wife gets back today so last night the pup and I were at Pine Valley Ranch until about 8:30. Absolutely nobody there and the fish were rising up like birds.
What a week! I think my fishin' jones is cured.
Annual pilgrimage to Shelf Lake is scheduled next Sunday.
