The program, part of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, allows eligible companies and other entities to achieve status as bronze achievers, silver partners and gold leaders.
Megan and Gary Mitchell, who have owned Cactus Jack’s for 15 years, said the Rotary Club of Evergreen originally nominated them for the bronze level after seeing their efforts toward environmentally friendly practices. Cactus Jack’s was one of the first independent restaurants in the state to join, and has now achieved gold status alongside many larger companies and government entities, they said.

Well deserved and all the more impressive given the big entities in the running.
Not to mention supporting the community and non-profits on so many levels, including hosting their annual
free Thanksgiving dinner Thursday.
Congrats Cactus Jack's!
