Dog lovers rally against closure of dog park

EVERGREEN, Colo. -- About one hundred people gathered Saturday in Evergreen to rally against Jefferson County Open Space’s decision to close one of the most prominent dog parks in the state.

“We’re devastated by this whole thing because the dog park is the heart of the community,” president of Friends of Evergreen Dog Park, Betsy Rich said.

Perfect example of the cluelessness of these people at 1:45 in the video.
Nobody is using the actual trail. Everyone is just walking with dogs through the sparsely grassed area right along side the obvious trail.

One of the reasons the County is closing this site is to allow it to re-grow from overuse and abuse.
These people value their dogs over your environment.
