Total agreement with this sentiment. This isn't even just about responsibility or duty to care for dependents, it's about your relationship with life and love itself, and it's about whether or not you are some kind of predator that exploits another until the moment you decide they've outlived their 'utility,' whatever it may be to you, perhaps even emotional gratification. This is not a good approach to living; we're all connected, all life is connected, we higher forms of it particularly, and so if you do this wrongful thing and abandon, you also harm yourself, and you are never going to be able to go back and undo this thing you have done. Think long and hard about the commitments you make and make them with unwavering integrity or not at all.
