13 year-old Bennett Russell caught a 40 inch long tiger muskie in Evergreen Lake last Friday. It isn’t the largest fish ever reeled in at Evergreen Lake, but it’s close.

“We’ve been trying to get one of these for a really long time,” Russell said.
His 5th grade friend, Austin Jeffries, was there to assist with the net.

Great job kid! Even CG is jealous. I have never caught a freshwater fish that big.

Thats a small muskie- Where I come from they are the size of alligators. One time just North of the UP one followed my lure up to the boat and it was almost as big as the boat. Its the fish of 10,000 casts- hard to catch, not good to eat...Sport onlyTarryall wrote:Great job kid! Even CG is jealous. I have never caught a freshwater fish that big.
