The Kidzone team is looking for very specific items for our classrooms. Some might be things you are getting rid of!


Throughout the month of January we will have snowflakes hanging up by the coffee and donut table in the Fellowship Gallery. They will have individual items listed on them with either specific information about where to find them or general info. Feel free to take one (of your choosing) and purchase the item, or find it in your stash of "to the Goodwill" items. Thrift store items are great as well. Thank you for your support of our kids!

And for our ongoing needs! We have several people being added to our volunteer team which is so wonderful! Thank you for responding to the need. We have quite a few more slots that need to be filled. There are a variety of positions that may fit your gifting. We have need of teachers, storytellers, assistants (who get to play with kids and do crafts - how fun is that!?), musicians, and baby holders. We have a variety of time slots as well: one Sunday a month, 5th Sunday month volunteer teams (those only happen 5 months out of the year - so you'd serve 5 times a year), a substitute list, or a summer team (we do VBS then!). When we get these filled, we will have a solid team and a whole lot of fun in Kidzone! We have a really exciting new direction with our curriculum in the preK/K and the 1st throu gh 5th grade classes. So come play and learn with us!

Kidzone Updates and Requests

SOS! Some of our childcare workers are about to have babies!!! Soon we will have more holes in Kidzone! So we need people who love to be with kids to join us. I want you to know that we are doing wonderful things in our classes (as we have been the last couple of years), and learning many great things! So let me tell you our needs for helpers and see if any of these speak to you. We have need of 8 assistants in our baby/toddler/preschool and kinder area. Right now we have teachers set up in these rooms, so we are looking for assistants. That means that you can come and hold babies, change diapers, sing songs, color, love kids and have fun one time a month! We also have need of 3 people who can work in our 1st through 5th grade with our 5th grade grapple groups. This is a wonderful position, taking the lessons deeper with our 5th graders. So you would come once a month and lead a discussion about the story that we are studying. These kids are just an awesome and growing group! We are also putting together a 5th Sunday team and need 12 people on that team!!! And a 12 person substitute list as well. We will be setting volunteer terms in August. So that in August 2013 the first term will be done and you can serve elsewhere at the Sanctuary or serve another year in Kidzone.

Kidzone Updates and Requests

Come join us on Sunday mornings and have fun playing with the stories of Jesus! Our kids are experiencing Jesus and His love through play. Bring your unique gifts and join in the fun. We need scientists, cooks, artists, storytellers, dancers, and much more! We are holding kids, telling stories, cooking together, exploring the stories with science experiments, acting out the stories through drama, and spending lots of time looking into the Bible together. We have positions in our Baby Room, Toddler Class, Preschool and Kindergarten Room, and our 1st through 5th Grade Class. Though we do sometimes hire childcare workers, we still need a solid volunteer team to be with our children. It is important for the Body of Christ at The Sa nctuary to come around our little ones. Often when we do, we are the ones who come away blessed!
