The Foothills Animal Shelter accepted the 2014 ASPCA Rachel Ray $100K Challenge!!! They have been selected as one of fifty animal shelters across the country to participate in the fifth and final year of this challenge. The Challenge is a nationwide competition for animal shelters (and their communities) to get more animals adopted, reunite lost pets with their families and save more lives than ever before. For extra information please use this link: http://challenge.aspcapro.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
From June 1 – August 31, Foothills Animal Shelter will engage in a spirited competition to go above and beyond saving more animals’ lives. The Shelter is competing for a chance at more than $600,000 in grant funding—with prizes ranging from $1,000 to a grand prize of $100,000 for the Challenge’s top performing shelter.
A fun summer campaign was launched on Sunday, June 1 titled Find Your Soul Mate and is a spoof on dating sites, but instead incorporates animals and people. Additionally, they will be running numerous specials throughout the entire summer in hopes of reminding people to come to Foothills Animal Shelter if they are looking to find their very own “soul mate.”
The shelter said that if they won grant funding from the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, they would use the money to help fund the Shelter’s animal care services, including foster care, spay/neuter surgeries, medications, diagnostics, food, specialty veterinary services, animal training and enrichment tools and kennel care.
